I must apologise for not being around for the last couple of weeks. I have been on holiday and am now busy preparing for a house move so my knitting has taken backstage for now.
However, I wanted to share a couple of projects that I knitted in the last six months. This first one was a small wedding gift I made for one of my dearest friends for her wedding. It’s a small wedding ring cushion, and I was thrilled to see the page boy walking down the isle carrying it with the rings tied securely to it.
I got the pattern from a delightful book called “one skein wonders” (I cannot remember the authors and the book is packed, but if anyone one wants details please do leave a comment and I will get back to you.)
I used one of my most favourite yarns from the Natural Dye Studio, Precious 4 ply in Moonstone. Its 100% silk and has such a gorgeous shiny sheen and the most luxurious drape. I’ve used this to make a shawl for my mum and its perfect for shawls as well (will post on this in the near future).
It was a very straightforward design and the heart chart in the middle was simple to follow as it was a seed stitch. The back of the cushion is in plain stockinette and the border was crocheted. It was my first attempt at crochet and so I was rather nervous about it but it worked out alright!
Do let me know what you think!
